The People's Liberation Army has joined tsunami-relief efforts by securing funding and distribution networks for aid materials, while also supervising the production of additional relief supplies.
The People's Liberation Army has joined tsunami-relief efforts by securing funding and distribution networks for aid materials, while also supervising the production of additional relief supplies.

The army will cooperate with the departments of transport, foreign affairs and commerce to adjust relief material delivery plans.

The aid sent by the Chinese army to the tsunami-hit countries varies from tents, rugs, and electric generators to food and medicine.

So far, the Chinese army has delivered more than 400 tons of relief goods by air.
