 
Chinese senior Party leader Li Changchun and State Councilor Chen Zhili received the athletes on Tuesday morning in the Beijing international airport.
This 245-strong group included athletes from volleyball, basketball, diving, and track and field, although some Chinese athletes had already returned home.
 
Chinese athletes grasped 32 gold medals at the 28th Olympiad, making their country second only to the United States.
