A fan of Mao Zedong has been marking the famous Chinese leader's 110th birthday by showing off his fifty-kilogram Mao badge to media cameras.
The badge of the man, who is from southwest China's city of Chengdu, is the biggest of its kind ever found in China. It was bought for twenty thousand yuan, or more than 2,400 US dollars ten years ago but will be put up for sale again at an auction in Shanghai next month.
Its owner hopes the fevour surrounding Mao Zedong's 110th birthday will help his giant badge fetch over one million yuan, or 120,000 dollars at the auction. (Chen Ying)
