【文豪】跟“毒舌”王尔德学“毒舌”

被谑称为“腐国第一毒舌”的王尔德最近火了起来,其实,他闪闪发光才不是一天两天的事呢,少有艺术明星像他那样如此光芒闪耀。王尔德和他的作品的独一无二、似是而非、迷人有趣,混合着人性中的大胆无畏和优雅高贵,让人眼花缭乱。他精心的浮华既鼓舞着许多人又令他的批评者恼火。今天让我们来走进这位引领“高端黑”风潮一百多年的“吐槽”大师吧。



奥斯卡.王尔德(Oscar Wilde,1854-1900),爱尔兰作家、诗人、剧作家、艺术家,英国唯美主义艺术运动的倡导者,在19世纪与萧伯纳齐名。他是历史上有名的同性恋,因此遭受过牢狱之灾,并在20世纪末、21世纪初成为了同志群体的文化偶像。他傲娇,毒舌,反鸡汤,他是19世纪的“段子手”,犀利地吐槽着一切,拉得一把好仇恨。

此人有着过人的自信和天赋,机智幽默,又爱嘲讽别人...

呵呵....

话说,1881年,王尔德坐船横跨大洋来到美利坚,进关的时候傲然地对海关官员翻了个白眼说:


当然,王尔德到底是不是说过这句话如今已很难考证,但即便是伪造,这句话也完全符合王尔德的身份、性格和气质,因为王尔德就是这么一个恃才傲物又舌灿莲花的毒舌天才。在他短短46年的传奇人生里,王尔德留下了无数惊世骇俗又逼格甚高的妙句,让小编膜拜不已。。。


王尔德说过:“个性善良不如长相美丽,不过个性善良总比生得丑好”,“只有肤浅的人才不以貌取人。”所幸他自己就是长相美丽,深具王者风范的人。先给大伙看一张他的青年美照,人家可不是一出生就是一副腹黑大叔相的,毒舌也是需要资本的。


可这样一个看似安静的美男纸多年后却无所顾忌的嘲讽任何人,嘲讽任何事......


嘲讽他的敌人:

Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much.

永远要宽恕你的敌人。没有什么比这更能让他们心烦的了。

偶尔“黑”一下朋友:

I don't want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there.

我不想去天堂,我的朋友都不在那里。

嘲讽悲观主义者:
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back.
借钱就要向悲观主义者借,因为他们不会期待你还钱。

嘲讽好为人师的人:
The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself.
对于建议,你所能做的,就是把它转送给别人,建议从来就不是给自己准备的。

嘲讽平庸的人(几乎不给人留任何活路):
Hard work is simply the refuge of people who have nothing to do.
努力不过是无事可做的人的避难所。

Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.
只有无聊的人才会把早餐吃出花样来。

Only the shallow know themselves.
只有浅薄的人才了解自己。

Bad artists always admire each other's work.
糟糕的画家总是欣赏彼此的作品。

但同样不喜欢优秀的人:
An excellent man; he has no enemies; and none of his friends like him.
一个优秀的人没有敌人,但他的朋友也没有一个喜欢他。



嘲讽最多的,还是女人:

A man’s face is his autobiography. A woman’s face is her work of fiction.
男人的脸是自传,女人的脸是小说 (自己体会。。。)。


Don't give a woman advice; one should never give a woman anything she can't wear in the evening.

不要给女人忠告;你不能给女人任何她晚上不能穿的东西。


Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood.
女人是用来被爱的,不是用来理解的。


If a woman can't make her mistakes charming, she is only a female.
如果一个女人不能把自己的错误变得迷人,那她就只是一个雌性动物。


One should never trust a woman who tells her real age. If she tells that, she'll tell anything.

一个人决不应该相信说出自己真实年龄的女人。如果她把这都说出来了,那她什么都会说。


Thirty five is a very attractive age; London society is full of women who have, of their own free choice, remained thirty-five for years.
三十五岁是一个非常有吸引力的年龄;伦敦社交圈内满是这样好多年一直保持三十五岁的女人,她们可以自由地挑来选去。



哦,他还喜欢自黑:

I can resist everything except temptation.
我可以抗拒一切,诱惑除外。

I was working on the proof of one of my poems all morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again.
我整个早上都在校对自己的一首诗,我去掉了一个逗号。下午我又把它加了上去。

I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I’m saying.
我简直太聪明了,有时连我自己都不能明白我说的话。

吐槽时尚:

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.

时尚总是丑得难以容忍,所以每隔六个月我们都只好改一次。


嘲讽美国人:
美国是唯一一个直接从野蛮进入颓废、中间没有经过文明阶段的社会。
America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.

也嘲讽他的同胞:
我们爱尔兰人太诗意以至不能做诗人,我们的国家里充满才华横溢的失败者,可我们是自希腊人以来最会说空话的民族。
We Irish are too poetical to be poets; we are a nation of brilliant failures, but we are the greatest talkers since the Greeks.



看不起和他同时代的人:
死亡和庸俗是十九世纪仅有的无法用巧辩逃避的东西。
Death and vulgarity are the only two facts in the nineteenth century that one cannot explain away.

为什么我会和这样一些人生活在同一个时代?
Why was I born with such contemporaries?

看不起庸俗的大众:

每次人们赞同我的时候,我都觉得自己一定错了。
Whenever people agree with me, I always feel I must be wrong.

不相信爱情:
人生就是一件蠢事追着另一件蠢事而来,而爱情则是两个蠢东西追来追去。
Life is one fool thing after another whereas love is two fool things after each other.


也不相信婚姻:

离婚的主要原因是什么?结婚。
What is the chief cause of divorce? Marriage.

结婚是想象战胜了理智,再婚是希望战胜了经验。
Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience.

已婚男人的快乐来自那些他没有娶的人。
The happiness of a married man depends on the people he has not married.

有时也玩“欲抑先扬”的把戏:

Please do not shoot the pianist. He is doing his best.
请别开枪打死那个钢琴师,他已经尽力了。

Tell the cook of this restaurant with my compliments that these are the very worst sandwiches in the whole world, and that when I ask for a watercress sandwich I do not mean a loaf with a field in the middle of it.
请转告我对这家饭店厨师的赞誉,这是全世界最糟糕的三明治了,还有,我点的是豆瓣菜三明治,我并不是要面包片中夹一块菜田。


Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.

现在段子手屡试不爽的梗,原来他才是鼻祖:
When I was young, I used to think that money was the most important thing in life, now that I am old, I know it is.

有时候也会突然收起毒舌,带来正能量甚至是略带鸡汤味的话:
All charming people, I fancy, are spoiled. It is the secret of their attraction.

Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.
每个圣人都有过去,每个罪人都有未来。

An idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all.

看透人性:

I love acting. It is so much more real than life.

他是金句王,也是肥皂终结者。他的人生永远不能像肥皂剧一样拥有一个完美的结局,他曾经说过:"公众惊人的宽容,可以原谅一切,除了天才。"(The public is wonderfully tolerant. It forgives everything except genius.) 而这句话,最终也在他自己身上应验。


中国情缘


王尔德深受老庄等中国思想家影响,他曾说:“《老子》 (Lao tzu)这部完成于两千年前的中国书,对欧洲人来说依然早了两千年。”而据《王尔德读书随笔》一书的译者张介明说,王尔德阅读英国汉学家赫伯特?贾尔斯翻译的《庄子》,如获至宝。“他的真诚还体现在当19世纪中叶以后,像中国这样的东方国家积贫积弱已暴露无遗,西方优越论和西方中心主义已盛行之时,他仍毫无偏见、充满敬意地介绍中国思想家庄子。”

王尔德说:“庄子,这个名字我们必须作为从未写过的名字认真加以宣布。在耶稣之前一个世纪,他已诞生在黄河岸边那一方鲜花盛开的土地上。”“庄子是一位达尔文以前的达尔文主义者,他追溯人的起源,并视其为自然的同一体。”他还告诉他的同胞“路易十五和路易十六许多漂亮的服装都受惠于中国艺术家那考究的装饰针线活……中国和日本的丝绸长袍教给我们色彩调和的新奇迹、精心设计的新奥妙。”

王尔德认为自己生而是艺术和文学的象征,他所掀起的唯美主义运动是文学史上的著名运动,他的所有文学作品也都以“唯美”作为至重要的标签。
