The last showing of the musical's Beijing tour is scheduled to take place on Valentine's Day, Feb 14.
This musical feels like a magic show with high-tech gimmicks, similar to those used in cinematic productions.
Earlier in an interview with Paul Griffin, associate director for the musical, he noted how the the live special effects are one of the prime selling points for this haunting, yet touching ghost story.
The musical tells the tale of lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked on their way back to their apartment.
When Sam dies, he becomes caught between this world and the next. Molly is in danger and Sam cannot leave her; a medium named Oda Mae Brown helps Sam get in touch with Molly to warn her of the coming danger.
"Ghost" writer Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his Academy Award-winning script for the 1990 movie into a theatre script and tried his hand at writing some of its songs for the British musical version.
The musical first arrived in Beijing in 2015.
