The Beijing Music Festival has concluded with a glorious concert staged by the Hong Kong Philharmonic.

Maestro Jaap van Zweden conducted the closing concert.

"We actually are hoping, along with Hong Kong Philharmonic, for a very long relationship with this festival, because this festival means in the music world so much these days. For every orchestra whoever will be going here, or every artist, who is going to perform during your festival (it's)an honor, and we'll also see many very famous colleagues here. That's always good to be with a very strong family together."

For the crowning conclusion of the music festival, Maestro Jaap van Zweden and the Hong Kong Philharmonic worked together bringing Gustav Mahler's monumental "Titan" Symphony.

One of the most sought-after conductors, Maestro Jaap van Zweden has been the music director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic since 2012, and he'll soon move to work for the New York Philharmonic as a music director.

This is the Hong Kong Philharmonic's third visit to the Beijing Music Festival, which has a 19 year history. And "Musical Legacy and Innovation" is the theme of the 19th Beijing Music Festival.
