Five artists recently created public attention by installing art works into some idle space of the Today Art Museum in Beijing's central business district.

The museum has named the ongoing display Playful Wave, and has included the exhibition into their Finding Friends art project.

Han Xiaohan is one of the five artists, he named his rockwork-like, metal-made artwork "nie".

Han explains that "nie" has little to do with rockwork. "The source of inspiration for my creation is the abnormal shapes of animal skeletons. I'm sensitive and enthusiastic about life and skeletons."

The art project aims to find alternatives solutions for emerging artists to display their work. The Finding Friends project tries to make full use of the idle space of the museum and let the public get closer to art.

The Playful Wave exhibition is scheduled to come to an end on December 15.
