Health authorities in Sierra Leone have being continuing to trace contacts with the country's newly-found Ebola case.

Health officials have identified 109 contacts, among them 28 are at high risk and three contacts are yet to be located in connection with a student that died in the latest Ebola case in the northern Magburaka township, the National Coordinator of the Office of National Security Ishmael Tarawally said at a press conference Saturday.

He revealed that one of the most sought-after contacts, the father of the deceased, was found in the capital Saturday.

"The government apparatus is currently on the ground with support from the international inter-agency team and at the national level, the National Situation Room has now been reactivated since the death,'' he said.

"We are worried and concerned about this new development but called on the general public not to panic noting that more than ever before, all Sierra Leoneans must work together to prevent further infection," said Tarawally.

''The source of infection and route of transmission is being investigated and the government urges all Sierra Leoneans to continue being vigilant and adhere to safe hygiene practices which include reporting all suspicious illness and deaths." Chief Medical Officer Brima Kargbo said.
