Alibaba's Yulebao a crowd-funding site that allows members of the public to make small "investments" in entertainment projects will be the festival's "interactive entertainment partner".

Food poisoning

Over one-hundred people who attended a wedding over the weekend in Yunnan have come down with food poisoning.

The victims came down with stomach pains, diarrhea and nausea.

Initial investigations suggest a bacterial food poisoning.

Inner Mongolia's regional capital Hohhot is now in the midst of a "smart city" project.

This includes projects to create more mobile Internet and cloud computing.

Areas of focus include transportation, health care, education, energy conservation and the environment.

New analysis is suggesting the southern Chinsee city of Shenzhen has become the most prominent base for fashion design and export in China.

Around 60-percent of women's clothing sold in China's first-tier cities is reportedly made in the city.

Official data suggest over 2-thousand clothing companies are operating in Shenzhen, employing around 15-thousand designers.
