Chinese President Xi Jinping has been listed the World's 3rd Most Powerful person by Forbes magazine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin tops this year's list, followed by US President Barack Obama.

A new report from an industry group is suggesting Shanghai is now one of world's top-tier international financial centers.

The list puts Shanghai tied with Hong Kong among the world's most influential international financial centers.

Fox Hunt  

Police in Shanghai say that they have hunted down and repatriated 22 fugitives from 14 different countries and regions as part of a national campaign to find people who have fled overseas. "Fox Hunt 2014," launched in July by the Ministry of Public Security, is designed to round up corrupt officials and suspects involved in economic crimes who have escaped abroad.

Foreign Cash Approved for NGOs

Authorities in Guangzhou have deleted a clause in the rules connected to Non-governmental organizations which stipulated that any NGO in the city that receives overseas funds or are "under de facto management" of overseas organizations should be shut down.

Transport authorities in Beijing the local railway stations processed over 400-thousand passengers on Thursday.

Most have headed to the cities of Tianjin, Qingdao and Hangzhou.

This coincides with the 6-day holiday connected to the APEC meetings which many people in Beijing have been granted.
