    Mongolia is a landlocked country in central Asia. It borders China to the east, south and west, and Russia to the north, with Ulan Bator being the capital city.

    The country has an area of about 1.56 million square km and a population of about 2.68 million.

    Khalkha is the largest ethnic group, accounting for about 80 percent of the population. most of Mongolians believe in Lamaism.

    The country's economy has been traditionally based on the breeding of livestock and mining.
