EDITOR'S MESSAGE

In May 1990, CRI's English Service began producing a bimonthly four-color newsletter called "The Messenger" which focused on strengthening ties with CRI's listeners. The magazine has since undergone a number of changes with this year marking its most recent development stage. Major alterations to the design and focus of the magazine mean that the newly branded "Messenger" will captivate readers and provide them with unique reports produced especially for print by China Radio International.

Taking a different topic as its focus for each issue, readers will be able to develop a comprehensive insight into all aspects of Chinese life. With thought provoking interviews and highly detailed reports, "Messenger" aims to inform readers around the world of the changes taking place in China by talking to the people directly involved with such change.

"Messenger" provides you with thoughtful analysis, insightful coverage and stories that you won't find anywhere else. It's your new window into China.
