Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urges China and UK to achieve win-win cooperation and inclusive development with a partnership for growth.

Li Keqiang delivered a speech to top British think tanks at the City of London's mayor's official residence on Wednesday.

In his speech, the Premier stressed inclusiveness is the mark of human civilization and progress. He said the UK was the first country to complete industrialization, while China remains a developing country. He would like to provide a full picture of China to help better understand the country.

Li Keqiang said China has a population with 1.3 billion with the firm resolve to achieve modernization, but this would be a long journey as China faces uneven development. He noted China¡¯s per capita GDP is only 6800 US dollars and the center of its modernization drive is industrialization and urbanization. There are still six to seven hundred million Chinese people living in rural areas. It will be at the mid of this century that China can reach the level of a medium-level income-country and achieve modernization with Chinese characteristics.

He added that the products China make are mainly low to medium-level products and China has to break energy, resource and environmental constraints to achieve industrialization of a higher level.

He stressed in this process, China will bring huge opportunities to the whole world. In the next five years, China will import more than ten trillion US dollars' worth of goods and will invest over 500 billion US dollars overseas. In addition, outbound visits by Chinese tourists will exceed five hundred million. He also reassured China's 7.5 Percent growth.

Premier Li concluded his speech by saying China and UK are both great nations, and should seize the precious opportunities, meet challenges together, and build a better world for inclusive development.
