Average Annual Salary in Beijing: 69,000 Yuan

Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and Bureau of Statistics Saturday released that the average annual salary of employees in Beijing is 69,521 yuan ($11,130 USD) in 2013, the Beijing News reports.

With the average monthly wages of 5793 yuan (or $927 USD) in 2013, the average annual income of employees in Beijing has increased 10.9% over the previous year.

The data also shows that the average salary of urban employees in Beijing's non-private sector is as much as 1.9 times more than those in the private sector in 2013.

The average salaries in Beijing for various jobs in 16 different industries in 2013 have also been revealed: a position as a department-head has the highest average annual salary of 235,094 yuan (or $37,638 USD).

Urban financial industry employees in Beijing's non-private sector received the highest average annual income in 2013, earning an average of 206,110 yuan ($32,998 USD) per year. Employees of the urban private sector agricultural industry earn an average yearly wage of about 32,531 yuan ($5,208 USD), a comparatively low salary for Bejing.
