Another batch of relief materials have been sent from China to the tsunami ravaged parts of Indonesia.

The aid package is worth 15 million yuan, or over 1.8 million US dollars and includes tents, food and other relief supplies.

This is the first aid package sent to the disaster affected areas since the Chinese government announced the increase of its aid package by 500 million yuan, about 60 million US dollars.

Head of the Department for Foreign Aid under the Ministry of Commerce Wang Hanjiang says aid materials and cash worth close to 5.5 million US dollars will soon be sent to Sri Lanka, Thailand and other countries hit by the tsunamis soon.
