Taipei's first puppet gallery and theatre has recently opened, bringing young and old the delights of precious puppets and puppet shows.
Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-jeou held a Monkey King puppet in his hand when he officially opened the gallery and theatre.
People acting as puppets added a special touch to the ceremony and later paraded through the streets.
The gallery has over four thousand theatrical puppets.
Half of them come from the Chinese mainland.
