Veteran actress Liu Xiaoqing has tried, by having a facelift to play the role of a 20-year-old girl in a new TV costume drama.

Liu Xiaoqing showed her face in public for the first time since the face-lift, at a party Friday night at Weiyuan County, in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The Chinese mainland star wore a red dress and danced with a fan as she showed off her new look.

Her doctor says the procedure will help her look 20 years younger.
