Three people were killed by a bomb blast in Algeria Sunday in an attack bearing the hallmarks of Islamist rebels.
Three people were killed by a bomb blast in Algeria Sunday in an attack bearing the hallmarks of Islamist rebels.
The victims, all Algerians, belonged to a private security firm working for a power company installing high-voltage lines in some mountainous region.
The explosion, in the small town of Ziama Mansouria, blew up the car they were traveling in near the power company's working site. A fourth passenger was seriously wounded.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
The North African country is emerging from more than a decade of Islamist-linked violence. Violence has fallen sharply in the past two years, allowing foreign investments to return gradually.
