Vice Chinese Health Minister Wang Longde says the Chinese government attaches great importance to policy making and legislation related to AIDS.

He made the remark during the second Asia-Pacific Ministerial Meeting on AIDS in Bangkok.

Wang Longde says China has endorsed many laws and regulations to promote AIDS prevention since the 1990s, which have so far been fruitful.

However, he admits the current laws are not enough to prevent AIDS, and China needs to continue to modify them.
