Guangdong Sets up Anti-AIDS Committee

A provincial-level Anti-AIDS working committee has been set up in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province, followed by establishment of databases.
A provincial-level Anti-AIDS working committee has been set up in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province.
The committee will supervise the prevention and control work against AIDS/HIV across the province.
Guangdong will also establish databases on AIDS/HIV patients and build more labs capable of reaching advanced level in the country.
By the end of last year, Guangdong reported more than 5,000 AIDS/HIV cases, including more than 50 deaths.
