Asian New Talent Award Announced

The Award for Best Director at the Asian New Talent Awards has been split between China and Thailand.

The Award for Best Director at the Asian New Talent Awards has been split between the Chinese director of "South of the Clouds" Zhu Wen and the six Thai directors of "My Girl from Thailand".

The Best Film Award went to Japanese film "Walking with the Dog".

The total prize money for the two awards is 300 thousand RMB or 36 thousand US dollars, and is provided by the Organizing Committee of the Shanghai International Film Festival.
