A group of photos depicting six graduates from Henan University of Science and Technology dressed as characters from the Chinese cartoon "Gourd Brothers" went viral online, Dahe.cn reports.
Wang Jingxin, who dressed as the eldest Gourd Brother, said the idea of shooting such a special group of graduation photos came from an episode of a popular online cartoon video series, which tells the story of the Gourd Brothers.
"These photos have become the best university memory for us," Wang said.
Although there were actually seven brothers in the original cartoon, the sixth brother didn't appear in the whole episode, since he has the skill of stealth.
"There are six people in our dormitory, so it's possible for us to pose for photos as the Gourd Brothers," Wang added.
They bought six costumes online, each at 70 yuan, and finished their graduation photos in two hours.
