We are joined by Martin Lees, former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and secretary-general of the Club of Rome, a global think tank that deals with a variety of international political issues.

Martin Lees has also been responsible for several high-level programs for international cooperation with China, including an advisory program for leadership entitled "China and the World in the Nineties" and the establishment of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development.

His extensive work experiences in economic, energy and environmental affairs has made him truly an insider in these areas.

So what does Martin Lees think of the world economy today? What is his advice for China to tackle its immediate challenges such as environmental pollution?
