Chinese President Hu Jintao will pay a state visit to the United States this month in a bid to boost the steady development of long-term China-U.S. relations.
President Hu Jintao will meet U.S. President George W. Bush and other U.S. officials for in-depth discussions on China-U.S. relations and other international and regional issues of common concern.
Iran Declares Membership of Nuclear Club
Iran has declared that it has gained a ticket to join the global nuclear club by having successfully produced 3.5 percent enriched uranium, a technological leap in the process for nuclear power plant construction.
The Iranian President elaborated that the Islamic Republic had obtained access to nuclear fuel cycle and produced low-grade enriched uranium, which can be used to build nuclear power plant.
China Approves Faster Air Route to Europe
An International Air Transport Association spokesperson says China has opened new airspace after six years of negotiations to speed flights between Chinese and European cities.
The route will benefit 110 flights per week when it takes effect Thursday. The new fly zone starts north of Chengdu in southwestern China and extends northwest into the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The Italian Interior Ministry says Italy's reputed No. 1 Mafia boss has been arrested at a farmhouse in the Sicilian countryside after frustrating investigators' efforts to catch him during more than 40 years on the run.
