FAQ

Q: How can I listen to CRI's radio on the website?

CRI provides simultaneous listening to all of its live programs and shows, including its prime time news show the Beijing Hour and its hourly news and many other current affairs programs.

You can find the window for live listening on the upper right corner of our home page and just click to listen.

For special audio reports and editor's highlighted radio reports, click it and you will see our embedded flash player. Click the "play" button and you will immediately hear our reports. Due to differences in uploading speed, it might take a couple of seconds to upload before you can listen, but your patience will be well paid off.

If the embedded flash player doesn't show, you may need to down the latest edition of Adobe Flash Player. Or you can left click the MP3 icon to listen or right click the icon and then "Save target as" to download.

Q: What audio formats do you offer?

Starting March 2013, we offer only the MP3 format.

Q: Can CRI audio files be downloaded to my computer or handheld player?

Yes, our audio supports download which enables offline playing. Click a link to audio news and you will find the MP3 icon beside the flash player. Just right click it and choose "Save target as" to save it to your computer.

Q: How can I find a piece I heard on the radio?

Most of our English shows are available at the Radio page. Take note of the name of the show you have been listening and go to CRIENGLISH.com and then go to the Radio page and find the specific show column and you'll get the most recent issue and earlier issues.

You will need a search to find older issues, but they are all available for free downloads.
